Dr. (Mrs.) Josephine Oyebanji |
Dr. (Mrs.) Josephine OYEBANJI had her Secondary and Higher Secondary school education at St. Clare’s (Anglican) Grammar School, Offa and Queen Elizabeth School , Ilorin from 1964 to 1970. She obtained her B.A. and M.A. degrees in English at the University of Michigan , Ann Arbor and the Eastern Michigan University , Ypsilanti , Michigan , U.S.A. in 1974 and 1976 respectively. In 1997, she obtained her Ph.D. degree in Literature-In-English from the University of Ilorin . She worked at the University of Ilorin for over 30 years, serving in various sectors and rising through ranks to become a Deputy Registrar in 1997.

She was the University Examination Officer for many years and at different times Faculty Officer and Secretary to the Post Graduate School . She was the first Secretary of the University Women’s Association and at different times served as member on many administrative Committees, including the Student Disciplinary Committee, the Student Welfare Board and the Committee of Hall Masters and Hall Mistresses. She also served as the Chairman of the Unilorin Chapter of the Nigerian Universities Professional Administrators (ANUPA). Currently, she is the President of the Choir of the Mt. Olives (Anglican) Chapel, Ilorin where she is also Matron of the Girls Brigade in addition to being Matron to the Boys Brigade at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Ororuwo. She is also Matron to the Federation of Ororuwo Students in Ororuwo and a member of Olororuwo-in-Council. |
| Dr. (Mrs.) Oyebanji was appointed the foundation Registrar of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, Oyo State Nigeria in January 2006 and by virtue of this office, she is a member of the Committee of Registrars of Nigeria Universities (CORNU) and Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Registrars of Private Universities (CVCRPU). She is happily married with children. |
