COMMENCEMENT OF SECOND SEMESTER

The Second Semester of the 2019/2020 Session will commence on Sunday, 8th March 2020. Students and Parents/Sponsors are hereby requested to NOTE the following activities to mark the commencement of the semester:

Sunday, March 8, 2020      – Students are to arrive for resumption formalities starting at 12:00 noon.

Monday, March 9, 2020     – Matriculation Ceremony

Tuesday, March 10, 2020   – Second Semester Lectures begin

Students and their parents/sponsors should, in addition, NOTE that the gates of the University will be shut at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. Any student who does not arrive before that time will NOT be allowed into the University and will, therefore, forfeit resumption for the Semester.

Furthermore, students are strongly advised to ensure that they arrive at the University before 7:00 pm on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, 8th, 9th and 10th March 2020 respectively. Anyone who arrives after 7:00 pm on any of the three aforementioned days will have to make arrangements for his/her accommodation outside the University campus as nobody will be allowed into the campus after 7:00 pm on any of those days. The University will be VERY STRICT about the time of resumption as clearly stated above, and under no circumstance will any student who stays beyond 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, be allowed entry into the University, except such students, had obtained prior approval of the University Registrar to stay away beyond that date.

Allocation of hostel accommodation will continue to be done on semester by semester basis and fresh passes will be issued to students upon allocation of spaces in the hostels. However, students willing to retain their previous hostels may be so considered by the Dean of Student Affairs.

Attendance at lectures will be taken and any student who fails to record a minimum of 75% attendance will be barred from writing examinations in the courses where he/she records less than the stipulated minimum 75% attendance at lectures.

Students will undergo an initial check at the University Gate after which they will proceed to the Modupe and Folorunso Alakija Faculty of Law Auditorium for further screening.

Students are also advised to come with evidence of payment of the third instalment of their tuition fees and reports of the medical laboratory investigation for:

  1. Full blood count
  2. Urinalysis
  3. Stool Microscopy
  4. Blood group
  5. Genotype
  6. Digital chest X-ray with a Consultant Radiologist’s report

These will be checked on resumption.

On behalf of Management, I wish all our dear students a peaceful and successful Second Semester.
