Dr. Beatrice A. Fabunmi

Dr. Beatrice A. Fabunmi holds B.Ed. in Educational Management and Economics, M. Inf. Sc. (Information Science), M.Ed. (Educational Management) and Ph. D (Educational Management) degrees from the University of Ibadan. She started her career in Librarianship in 1998 when she was employed as Librarian II at Kenneth Dike Library, University of Ibadan. She worked in various sections of the library and was a member of the Kenneth Dike Library Management Team before her present appointment. She was a member of Senate in the University of Ibadan from 2012 to 2018. She is a seasoned Cataloguer.

She has published widely in both local and international journals of repute. She has three articles published as chapters in book; three articles in refereed conference proceedings; twenty-five articles published in academic journals; thus making a total of thirty-one publications. She has attended and presented papers at both local and international conferences. She is versatile in the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for library operations.

Her major area of research is library management. She is an associate of the Mortenson Centre for International Library Programmes, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, USA. She is a member of Nigeria Library Association. She was among the first set of librarians to be chartered in Nigeria in 2005. She was a Deputy Librarian at the Kampala International University, Dar es Salaam from 2011 to 2012.

She is happily married to Professor Martins Fabunmi and the marriage is blessed with children.
