JOY AS ACU TEST RUNS ITS BOTTLED-WATER MAKING MACHINE

As part of its continuous developmental strides, Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, has test run its newly acquired N10million bottled-water making machine with an assurance that the University’s community will soon be flooded with its own hygienically produced water.

ACU which recently replaced the old water-packaging efforts with the modern machine which automates all the processes of water treatments and packaging test ran the new machine to the satisfaction of the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Timothy Abiodun Adebayo, University’s Bursar, Mr. Samson Olojede and the ACU Water Supervisor, Mr. Olalekan.

Speaking shortly after witnessing the automated water production process, the ACU VC, Prof. Adebayo who expressed delight at the seamless process disclosed that the university was fast moving forward with the ways at which different developmental projects were being executed.

“When I first came, I didn’t like what I met on ground regarding water production. The workers at the water treatment factory wore gloves. They were almost using funnel to be channeling water into the plastic. I had to shut down the method . Today, I am happy with what I see here. The process is clean and hygienic. We are now assured of clean water for our collective health”, he stated.

Prof. Adebayo who promised to provide other necessities including vehicles for distribution, hinted that the university’s community would soon be flooded with ACU water, pointing out that the ACU should be able to provide for its basic needs with innovation and creativity.

His words: “we are not getting subventions from anywhere. We should be able to manage our resources in order to meet our basic needs. We must be transparent in the sales and distribution of the water. This place must be financially self-sustaining over times”
