Dr. Bosede Adebimpe AJIBOYE

Dr. Bosede Adebimpe AJIBOYE is the University Librarian and she assumed duty on 3rd June, 2024.

Dr. Mrs. Ajiboye was born over 50 years ago at Yelwa-Ishar, Plateau State. She obtained a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Library and Information Science (Records, Information Management and Emerging Technologies) from University of Ibadan in year 2016, Master E-Book Creator (MC30) and a Master of Information Science degree from Africa Regional Centre for Information Science at the University of Ibadan in 2006 and her first degree from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife in year 2000. She is a chartered librarian licensed by the Librarians’ Registration Council of Nigeria (LRCN).

Dr. Ajiboye started her career in as Librarian II at Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, and moved to Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta where she became an Associate Professor of Library Science/Deputy University Librarian. She was the Head, Serials Department at ‘Nimbe Adedipe Library of Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, and the Head of Department Designate of the proposed Library and Information Science Department of the University.

She has made significant contributions to the library studies, having authored over 30 scholarly papers published in highly rated on-shore and off-shore journal outlets. She has attended conferences, workshops and seminars and facilitated series of training in Information and digital Literacy, Research Skills, use of Electronic Information Resources and emerging technologies. She also supervised several postgraduate dissertations and served as Internal-External Examiner

At the professional level, she is the current Vice-Chairman of the Ogun State Chapter of the Nigeria Library Association, and an active member of Society of Nigerian Archivists and the National Association of University Women, Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta Chapter.

With about two decades working experience in the practice and teaching of Librarianship, Dr. Ajiboye has acquired leadership skills in her career that qualified her for a position in the University management.

Dr. Ajiboye is married to Ven. Oluwasanmi Ajiboye, a full-time Anglican Priest with four children.
