HONOUR WELL DESERVED

Professor Ayo Agbonjinmi of the Department of Public and International Law, Faculty of Law, presents 40 copies of a Law Monograph published in honour of the Vice-Chancellor, The Rt. Revd. Professor Dapo Asaju. Titled “Resolving the Inherent Conflicts in South African Constitutional Provision on the Environment”, the monograph is first in the series of the Ajayi Crowther University Public and International Law (ACUPIL) resource material.  At the ceremony in the Vice Chancellor’s office, the Don eulogises the VC for his “immense and indelible contributions” to the University, in terms of the quantum of accredited academic programmes and infrastructural facilities. “With the increase in academic faculties from 3 to 11, over 50 accredited programmes and structures springing up around the University campuses – all within the last five years of your tenure; and at this time of economic downturn, there is no gainsaying that you have made all of us proud, and we do appreciate that culture of excellence”. Professor Agbonjinmi said.

While praying for the VC’s continued service to humanity and good health, Professor Agbonjimin said the production of the Law Monograph was his way of showing appreciation to the VC for taking the Ajayi Crowther University to greater heights.

Responding, the Vice-Chancellor thanked Professor Agbonjinmi for the honour, particularly his support and encouragement over the years, promising to continue to do his best for the University. Present at the presentation was Dr (Mrs) Ucha Mbofung, Ag. Director, General Studies Programme, who described the honour as “well deserved” and thanked Professor Agbonjimin for his kindness in honouring the VC. She prayed for the continued health and progress of the Vice-chancellor.
