WORK COMMENCES AT AWE CAMPUS OF AJAYI CROWTHER UNIVERSITY

Preliminary work has commenced at the proposed Awe Campus of Ajayi Crowther University, shortly after the University signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) on the 135.8 acres of land being acquired from the community. The road network in the land is being opened just as perimeter fencing has commenced. Other projects billed to commence at the site include the Gate and the Gatehouse, Faculty of Agriculture building, and block of ten residential apartments. The Vice-Chancellor, Rt. Rev. Professor Dapo F. Asaju said the survey plan has been handed over to the University, and that the process of getting the Certificate of  Occupancy from the appropriate authorities will commence shortly. It will be recalled that on Monday, October 28, 2019, the traditional ruler of the Community, the Alawe of Awe, His Royal Highness, Oba Cornelius Abiola Taiwo,  led his cabinet members to the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) with the University on the land. At the occasion, he said the community was happy to enter into the relationship with the University and prayed that it would bring development to Awe land. On that day the  Bursar, Pastor Samson Olojede, handed a cheque of N10m to Oba Taiwo, being the first tranche of the N33.95 million total value of the land.
