VICE-CHANCELLOR LAYS FOUNDATION FOR SHEPHERDS INN GUEST HOUSE

The Vice-Chancellor of Ajayi Crowther University, Rt. Rev. Professor Dapo Asaju, accompanied by some members of the University Management, today performed the official foundation laying  ceremony of the  75-room Shepherds Inn located opposite the staff quarters of the University. During the event the Vice-Chancellor also revealed that another ten-room guest house is being constructed at the former Secretariat of Ajayi Crowther University Students Association[ACUSA], even as the University Guest House was also being renovated.

He said the Shepherds Inn and the ten-room guest house were being built to increase the Internally generated revenue of the University though the place will be put to  use for the first time when the wives of Bishops of the Proprietors of the University come for a conference in January 2019 .  He said the guest houses will later be handed over to professionals who would run it profitably.

After the Vice- Chancellor laid the foundation, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Professor Jacob Adeniyi, Registrar, Hon. Mrs. Adenike Fatogun and Professor Oriye, who is overseeing the project , all  participated in putting foundation blocks at various corners of the structure. After the brief ceremony, some people at the ceremony followed the Vice-Chancellor to the ten-room guest house, the Faulty of Natural sciences extension, to inspect on-going projects in those places. Prayers were said in all the locations.
